What is Bitcoin?
Bitcoin is the first decentralized currency. That means that there’s no bank or government that issues it. It lives on the internet, on something called the Blockchain. The Blockchain is a ledger where all transactions are recorded which prevents people from making copies of bitcoin or double spending. Bitcoin verifies transactions with the same state-of-the-art encryption that is used in banking, military and government applications. Before you can send and receive bitcoin, you have to download a wallet.

There are many types of wallets but if you intend on using out BATM’s, you should download one for your mobile phone. Go through the list and pick the one you like the most. Click the mobile tab on in the following link to see some of the most popular options.
How do I use Bitcoin Station BATM’s?
The only thing you need is a valid mobile phone with a wallet app installed to send bitcoin to. If you want to purchase above $901 per day, use your state issued ID to Register at the terminal. Just follow the instructions on the screen and you should be ok.

How do I make sure my bitcoin was sent and received?
You can check all transactions on the blockchain by searching for your, or any address, on a blockchain explorer. There are many but we recommend using https://www.blockchain.com/explorer.
How do I open my Address QR code?
In your mobile wallet app, you will see a few icons, one that looks like a small square QR code, and another that looks like a small paper airplane or arrow. For example:
The small QR code will open your Address QR which you will hold up to the Bitcoin ATM to receive bitcoin to your wallet.
The other icon is used to send Bitcoin to another address from your wallet.
How long do transactions take to send and/or receive?
Transactions take around 15 minutes to be verified on the blockchain and made available to you in your wallet. You can verify transactions by visiting a blockchain explorer like https://www.blockchain.com/explorer and entering your address or the address you are sending bitcoin to.
